Upcoming vacation

My sister Mindy came from Texas for my other sister Corie's baby shower. The shower is at my house and with 2 under 2 lets just say my house is a little unorganized disaster area sometimes and lived in. My sister Mindy is amazing at decorating and cleaning, so in 3hrs she turned my house into a relaxing organized space. I love the feeling of relaxing with no chores to be done.  I go to Texas tomorrow morning and we leave at 5am from Medford, drive to Portland with my 2 kids and my 2 nephews and my mom and sister. We then fly to Texas with one layover, it will take all day.  What was I thinking!!! The trip will suck, but the vacation will be wonderful. My sister's house includes a pool a hot tub 8 bedrooms with a guest apartment which I will be staying in.  She cooks all the meals and cleans like a group of Mexican immigrants; her house is spotless. My other toddler, the husband will be joining us there in a few days. We will take 'lil buddy to the zoo and I am so excited to watch his face light up when he sees all the animals.  When we get back Emma will be 5 months old yeah!! Closer to independence by the month.

cleaning day!

A few weeks ago I got introduced to the website Pintrest. I am hooked! I have been laying awake at night thinking about all the different cleaning supplies and crafts I can make.  This morning my husband cleaned the bathroom with a baking powder paste and a tin foil ball to scrub with. He was not happy about the ball of tin foil.  My son who from now on I will call buddy got into the action also. here are pictures.  I also made laundry soap with a friend, results of how good it works will be determined later.  I learned all this from the above site mentioned. I am also looking forward to making a PVC pipe shelving unit for my kid's shoes.

My First Post...

This is my first child who after a day or two used the restroom outside. I was in love with this baby whose name is Lyla. She was cute and well behaved. I had been married for the typical year when the mommy time clock started ticking, so we got a dog. I was happy for about six months then the delusions of having a baby started again. I begged and begged my husband to have a child and against his warnings and better judgment he finally agreed.  The wonderful thoughts of wearing cute maternity clothes and having a pregnant glow went down the toilet along with my breakfast fast. I was sooo sick the entire 9 months and then the birth was a nightmare. My son Ryan the 3rd was in the NICU for a week, two hours from where we lived. I was in so much pain I did not bond with him.  Then postpartum, colic, horrible sleeper and my imaginations of a perfect baby and family suddenly became reality. I was a mom. My son is 2 now and I love him more than I thought I could love a child.  I now also have a daughter named Emma who is 4 months old and the newborn nightmare is back. Postpartum, bad sleeper and colic. I have the wonderful thought that gets me through this time which is one day she will be 2. Hooray!! I wanted to start a blog to share the everyday laughs and tears of having 2 under 2, a dog and a husband who sometimes I think is 2. Hope you enjoy the insane and sometimes mis-spelled ramblings of a sleep deprived mom.
